Events are great and everything, but sometimes you get this urge to unwind after or relax before. Many events venues in Quezon City have a lot of activity centers around them. Since most of these event venues are in hotels, there is no shortage of accommodations and luxury restaurants, but sometimes these aren’t enough.

Luckily, all around Quezon City, there are many shopping malls that have everything your family might want to do. Do you want to eat in a fancy restaurant? A mall would probably have it. Do you want to watch a movie? Most malls have cinemas, and of course, if all you want is to dive into a shopping spree, where else will you go?

Just in case you find yourself in this situation, here is a list of malls for mall-hopping near events venues in Quezon City:

Malls that are owned and operated by the Ayala corporation has always boasted high-end outlets, restaurants, and modern settings. As one of the bigger malls under Ayala, Trinoma is no different. Its name stands for the “Triangle North of Manila”, which evidently shows its location.

In Trinoma, there is almost always something happening on their Activity Center. If you’re lucky, you might catch celebrities endorsing certain products and brands, or you might find a huge mini-fair dedicated to books, shoes, or clothing. The mall also hosts food fairs from time to time.

The mall is known for many designer brands and amazing restaurants, however, along with those, Trinoma is also famous for Landmark, a department store that showcases reasonably-priced items.

Trinoma also has an amazing movie house, an open garden and an arcade for the kids on the top floor. Due to its location, it is also very accessible, with an LRT station directly connected to the mall proper.

Trinoma is located in Triangle Park, North Triangle, Ayala Vertis North, Mindanao Avenue and is open from 10 am to 9 pm.

Literally just a 10-minute walk away from Trinoma, SM North EDSA will great you with a plethora of stores that is comparable to Trinoma’s Collection. Recent renovations have labeled it to be the biggest mall in the Philippines and the third largest in the world.

SM North EDSA is so big that it is divided into a few sections. Each section has their own focus. The City Center serves as the main hub where you’ll find clothing outlets, fast food chains, and the cinemas. Much like the City Center, The Annex is also filled with a good selection of stores, restaurants and electronic stores. The Interior Zone is filled with furniture stores, home décor, and basically everything that deals with interior design.

The new building, called The Block is one of the must-visit areas of the mall because of its food circuit and food market every weekend. All of these along with the beautiful sky garden makes SM North EDSA one of the best places for mall-hopping.

SM North EDSA is located in North Avenue corner EDSA, Bago Bantay, Quezon City and is open from 9 am to 9 pm.

UP Town Center

On the other side of Quezon City, there is a commercial place that mostly targets millennials. It is marketed as the first and only university town center of its time. However, it being a place that targets millennials doesn’t mean it’s not family friendly. In fact, it is one of the best places to go to with your family because of all the restaurants and stores that are found within it!

As small as it may be, the UP Town Center still offers a variety of things. Most notably, it is home to stores that cater to millennials. Clothing outlets and electronics stores are a given, but you’ll also find some sports shops, amazing arts and crafts supplies and even stores catering to your pets.

When compared to the first two malls, UP Town Center offers a different environment. From a bustling commercial haven that is almost always sure to be filled with a lot of people, to a relatively small commercial center that even has a wide open space in the middle. The UP Town Center may not be fully stocked with all your favorite stores, but it is sure to give you a relaxing time.
